I'm Joel. I'm a developer. but first, I'm someone who has struggled to maintain a consistent prayer life. Not because I didn't want to. But because mornings are rushed, attention is scattered, and the tools that existed felt more like productivity apps than sacred spaces.

I kept looking for something that felt like a companion. not a habit tracker. Something that gently reminded me to slow down, to breathe, to offer my day to God before the world claimed it. I couldn't find it. So I built it.

Amenly is that stillness. turned into an app. Every prayer was carefully chosen. Every exercise was designed to help you arrive at prayer with an open heart. The Bible reader is distraction-free on purpose. The streak isn't about guilt. it's about grace and the joy of showing up.

I built this alone, in the early mornings and late nights, while working a full-time job. I prayed over it. I cried over it. I shipped it because I believe God honors the small, faithful effort. even a quiet app made by one person.
